About a year or so ago I was wondering the current whereabouts of 80's actress Michelle Meyrink, her most notable movie role, for me, being the hyperactive Jordan in 'Real Genius'. At the time there wasn't a shred of updated information on her being that the last movie she starred in was '88 before she literally dropped off the face of the planet. Well due to a friend's exceptional on-line investigative skills he'd located some long overdue information concerning her:Michelle Meyrink article.

At the time I joked with a another friend who also wanted to know what she's been up to that I thought she most likely immersed herself in some form of religion and is raising a family somewhere deep in the woods. I was spot on with that notion. She dropped out of the Hollywood scene in '91 and has been, along with her husband and 3 children, practicing Zen Buddhism ever since. Last year her and her family were the subject of an episode concerning their practices for a 6 part documentary entitled 'The Quiet Mind'....which is the reason for the article.

Off topic but....Real genius,is that the one with val kilmer? There was a young nerdy kid that goes to the school. Anyway, that nerdy boy looks just like sarah jessica parker.

I've often wondered what happened to her! Some guy had a website about her at one time which I found to be quite "creepy" - and I posted this on a message board that Deborah Foreman used to host. Well, the creator of the site saw my message on that board
