I did some online research and found out that the club scenes in "Valley Girl" were filmed at FM Station(now known as the Viper Room-the place where River Phoenix passed away in 1993).

In "Desperately Seeking Susan", I always like knowing that some of it was shot in Danceteria, one of the clubs we used to go to, and at a memorabilia type store called "Love Saves the Day" on 2nd Avenue and 7th St., which is still there.

The campy comedy "Mannequin" was filmed at the old Wannamaker's department store in center city Philly and they did some filming around town too. The really bad sequel "Mannequin 2: On The Move" was actually better for locations. In addition to Wannamak

Not 80's but they filmed A Bronx Tale blocks from my house. Now I see filming of stuff maybe 2 times a year. They film alot by Coney or Brighton. Spike Lee films in Brooklyn, requium for a dream was in front of my office. All the cop shows film in Brighto
