This is a game we always play on Christmas Eve. This is the list I came up with:

Three Wise Man = Bob Marley, Cat Stevens, John Lennon

Joseph = Elvis
Mary = Madonna
Jesus = Jim Morrison

heh, I think you hit all the key ones. But I think it would be more interesting to replace Madonna with Janis Joplin.

I'm trying to come up with an new wave/80s version. But all I could think up were the roles for the Three Wise Men: Tony Wilson, John

What the hell, I'll give it a shot.

The three wisemen: Sting, Bono, and David Bowie instead of Frankenscence, Gold, and Myrrh it could be a 'Frankie say' t-shirt, Gold the 12" single by Spandau Ballet, and a Moog synthesiser.
