Filled with such great punk bands like Erasure, Culture Club and many others!

Man, then we can have two actors who are confused what decade they are in, dress them like a hair metal groupie and put on some Escape Club man

Thank you, actually a fun commercial to watch if you can get past the two actors with the bad hair.

I love it <img src="http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/4005/lolhp.gif"> "Not sold in stores", and as always "Rush Delivery" is available.

Thank you, what a fun look back on what they would sell on those commercials.

Glad you enjoyed it, MT.

It's a fun advert, complete with two shills who don't know what they're selling and a compiler who doesn't know what they're compiling. It's not sold in stores for a very good reason..

The style reminds of the other compilations being sold in the 90s, featuring some tracks you've heard of and many others that aren't mentioned in the advert due to being rubbish.

I never knew all those mainstream radio hits I was listening to when I was a youngster were punk! - I feel way hipper and groovier now.

I did.

Nowadays you don’t seem to see any commercials like that anymore with the quick talking announcer/s speaking over snippets of the songs as they scroll the titles over the screen. Seems the trend now is 30 minute long infomercials, hosted by someone (famous) from back in the day along with a side kick that acts astonished that someone after all these years has finally put together a “good collection” of music that you could never do by yourself. They tend to be on really late at night, most of them seem to be done by “Time Life”.

Speaking of Rubbish. Here is one of my favorites. There is really nothing special about this clip or the music they are presenting, other than what the announcer says at about 50 seconds into the clip.

You will either get the humor in the announcer’s comment or you won’t, some of the reply comments on this at You-Tube are hilarious. I love the echo effect on the voice.

LOL ?? are Giant Lp’s bigger than regular Lp’s "The Greatest Rock Album Ever" ....... money back if your not delighted.

"Because of low royalties we can't reveal the artists"

Lol, truth in advertising, number one of a very short series! :D

And the fact that it was as authentic as the Top of the Pops albums doing the rounds over here! [:p]

I think I have a couple of K-Tel Records stashed away in the attic.
