It took me 28 years to watch the original and I think I fell asleep a few times. I doubt I'll live long enough to get around to the sequel [:)]

You must have watched the Director's Cut :-).


I would rather there not be a sequel. The movie is outstanding by itself. Why risk ruining the legacy by releasing a movie that may be a dud, or may reveal too much from the storyline?

Blade Runner is one of those rare movie classic treats and I also can't help feeling it should just be left alone.

Mind you, I'd rather Scott tackle any sequal than someone else...

Maybe I'll reserve complete judgement until I see what he's done with Prometheus ;-)

"Sort of" is probably the most apt answer to that question! I think it runs with the story of the infested craft they find in the original Alien (or something) but doesn't really feature the 'Alien' aliens if that makes sense.
