This is funny but a bit sad in knowing that this place will probably close soon and nobody under 40 gives a crap about any CD's no matter who they're by or whether to buy or sell.

As possibly the only Chicagoan on the NWO here I can say that Laurie's seems to generally be going strong...
... on a sadder note though another decent little store 'round here, Favorite Records, is indeed going out of business.

Probably cause their bins are filled with unwanted Bodeans, Spin Doctors, "Lame/Sucky Soundtracks" and Colourfield CDs.

But i like The Eagles

Note the late insertion of "Phantom Planet" on the bottom right. The only logical conclusion here is that someone must've been catching up on the OC, and got really mad when that dude died at the end of one of the seasons.

Does the ban on "Lame/Sucky Soundtracks" mean that there was once a section in the store titled "Lame/Sucky Soundtracks?

Given the fact that "Most 90s bands", "Journey", and "2nd Tier Rap" makes up approximately 80% of all music consumed, there is a decent chance that Laurie's Planet of Sound doesn't actually sell music and is instead massive drug front. Meaning that this list was made simply to gain viral recognition as a record store, not a drug front.

Priceless
