You've no doubt heard the news about a new Bowie album due in March.

With all the recent hubbub surrounding that, I stumbled across this live recording from 1976s Station To Station Tour. I know it's been around for a while but if you haven't heard it, I highly recommend it. IMO, Carlos Alomar has never sounded better.

Lost footage of Atomic Sunrise Festival from 1970 features pre Ziggy Bowie and his band, The Hype.

"filmed just weeks before Bowie recorded The Man Who Sold the World with their bassist, Tony Visconti, acting as producer. Here, we see the birth of the classic rock'n'roll partnership between Ronson and Bowie, the essential axis that made up the Spiders from Mars, in glorious 16mm vintage colour.

'Atomic Sunrise' premiers at the Roundhouse, London 11 & 12 March.

Brit producers Altered Image have joined forces with Berlin-based Egoli Tossell Film to co-produce Lust for Life, a biopic about the legendary collaboration between pop stars David Bowie and Iggy Pop in 1970s West Berlin.

"Lost" for 40 years, BBC Radio has offered up a 13-minute recording of Bowie, then 26, promoting his 1973 covers LP Pin-Ups.

Bowie plays five tracks from Pin-Ups (Things' "Rosalyn," Them's "Here Comes the Night," the Yardbirds' "I Wish You Would," the Merseys' "Sorrow" and the Who's "I Can't Explain"), introducing each with some brief anecdotes about the bands.

The recording was unearthed by Bowie's manager, Nigel Reeve. In an interview with the BBC, he says he found the rare tape while perusing the singer's archives.

“It was in an old tape vault on 1/4-inch tape with simply the words 'Radio Show' written on it," Reeve says. "This is such a rare find. No one knew of its existence, apart from David and [co-producer Ken Scott]. To play it for the first time was quite simply a jaw-dropping moment.”

We told Bowie about the number, he said, 'I won't sing that song,'" Grossman says. "And we said, 'Why?' And he said, 'I hate that song. If I have to sing that song, I can't do the show."
