women can make it so hard to be in an amazingly brilliant ground breaking band that changes all the rules.

Loved KISS in the 70's, but c'mon, who thought looking like a cat was cool?

There's a difference between over rated and overblown. Seen in the clarity of hindsight, most overblown bands eventually get knocked down a few pegs and deservedly so. Anytime I hear Creed mentioned it is most often as a punchline now.

But you're right about Kiss. Kiss Army members are like Raider fan. No matter how bad their "team" sucks they cannot acknowledge it and insist that they are on their way to The Superbowl. Every year it is the same.

THAT same kind of myopia is required for someone to think KISS is great and there is just no reasoning with it. I can't help but believe the same thought process occurs when low information voters agree to pass retarded initiatives and repeatedly elect incompetent political representatives. But aint that America...

We all know what KISS became, but sometimes when I think of their start, and the fact that they were based in the scuzzy early 70's NYC scene of so many of our heroes, and realize that had they NOT made it and quit after two or three records, we'd probably all think they were one of the most influential inventive groups in all of alternative rock.

But of course that didn't happen!
