Vision Street Wear

Postby Slimer_spud » Sun Mar 20, 2005 4:20 pm

I am probably the only little siiter in the world that loves hand me downs, be it form geko shirts, to lacoste, and even my fuckin favorite item I recieved from my brosef, the greatest shoes of all time, Vision Street wear. Remember how fuckin amazing that clothing line was?!?! The cool sweatpants with the HUGE vision logo on the side...good times! I got a new pair a couple years back at Fangoria and was amazed that they still sell em! So I checked on ebay, and fuck, there they were!!!! I'm glad that they are still around, because if you had visions, you were the shit man! Good times, best shoes and pants ever!!!
Does anyone else remeber this quintissential brand form the 80's-90's?

Back in 88-89 I was stationed in Korea near one of the Vison factories (shoes only). I remember a few laughs at the Korean factory workers "stylin" wearing the blemished shoes around town.[:D]

Vision was totally poser back in the day!!!

Powell Perelta Sk8 Rat (until the younger kids started to sport the gear), Santa Cruz, and Some of the Sims stuff and of course Vans.

Dowg Town skates was absolutly gang banger cloths back in the day as in the mid 80's street skaters started to move in a gang related direction. Many I knew of in that scene back then are either dead or in jail.

Vert skating is soooo proletariat.

Speeking of Vision and Vert. I would still like to get the oportunity to visit Gator (Mark Rogoski) in jail. I hope he still professes Christ. If so maybe I can hook him up with the reformed faith and have a Reformed Church in the PCA or OPC or RCUS check up on him from time to time to encourage him. Spending years in the hole is not edifying. Does anyone know what jail he is in???

cheers,
jr

I grew up in So-Cal and i don't really remember Vision Street wear. It was all about Vans, Ocean Pacific and Hang Ten and Lightning Bolt. [:D]. And Kennington terry cloth shirts from JC Pennys [:o)]

After a little more research, Rogowski is at the Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga, CA. His inmate number is H27508.
