Switched to Appple over two years ago and I would never go back to Windows. Apple makes it extremely easy to edit video and burn DVDs which is something I always wanted to do. I bought a PowerBook and love it.
We recently bought a new PC since I need

Why does everyone keep perpetuating this myth?
Macs crash, Macs get viruses, Macs can be hacked, and there is loads of spyware that works just fine on a Mac.
If you like Macs, great. But this argument is like what's a better flavor of ice cream; choco

Jimbo,
I guess I was mislead. Please post some links to articles about the latest spyware and virus intrusions to Apple computers from notable sources. I need to get educated.
Thanks,

I've always been a Mac man, and have worked on PC's and there is absolutly no comparison. The only difference i see is in the software. If you like PC computer games then yeah, a beefed up pc with a great video card is your answer. I could go on about the

I got an Apple II+ in 1982 and have used Macs ever since they came out. Never had a crash or virus. Has anyone ever voluntarily switched from Mac to PC? Doubt it. Once you go Mac you'll never go back. I liken it to VHS or Beta. Beta is superior but

Well this graphic designer has been using Macs since 1989 and what few crashes I've ever had I've been able to fix up myself. And since OS X (a UNIX based OS), crashes are practically non-existent. Pay for tech support? Drop off my computer somewhere? Get

All my PC usng friends including the techier ones who work in IT drool over Macs. They love having to service Macs because they're no brainers - hassle free, a joy. What does that tell you?

Jimbo,
I apologize if I once again added to the "myth" situation.I simply wanted any and every opinion. My best friend is a die hard Mac user who hates Windows, however,he has never owned anything other than Macs.I must stipulate that he hardly ever has

I don't have a preference simply because I only use computers for the most basic applications: Email, internet, downloading music, burning CDs, listening to CDs, and Word Processing. So I'm kind of easy that way.
At home we have a PC w/ Windows XP. belie

I have both (4 PCs, a PC laptop, and an DV-Imac), and I like the Mac for the performance...it only has a 350 MHz processor, and it out performs my 766 PC.
However...I really like the inexpensive availability of software for the PCs. I can find any g

I'm a tried and true PC user, but I can appreciate the niche market the Macs provide ... they are solid and still have the edge for multimedia and graphics production. I've experienced lock-ups on Macs when taking multimedia courses, so they aren't as roc
