Enough with the goddamned whistling

Postby q89747 » Fri Aug 05, 2016 4:23 pm

A trend that has persisted for a few years now, and shows no sign of slowing down. Commercials that employ this goddamned whistling as part of the background music. The whistling is of an inane melody, and is most often backed by a breezy ukulele, with fingersnaps or handclaps keeping the beat. Occasionally you might hear a bit of glockenspiel. The idea is to convey 'it's so easy/fun!' to the cretins watching.

Hershey's ... he-bonfire

No actual whistling in this one from Lake County Illinois; it's been replaced by some chirpy, girly singing that has just as little to say.
