<u>Pierre Moerlen</u>, percussionest extraordinare and the founder and leader of the 1970's prog-rock band Gong passed away on May 3. He was 53. He was buried May 9. He also worked with Mike Oldfield, Daevid Allen, and Stephen Budd. Influenced some of the early New Age artists in the 80's. Big loss for that genre.

Wow, i missed that bit of news. Good thing i didn't let this thread die. He'll be missed. I must revisit his music today. Thanks for the info geoff [;)]
