Stefy-The Orange Album

Postby oneno » Tue Dec 05, 2006 10:23 pm

80's lives! Just picked this up the other day and it is sweet! a big nod to eighties elctropop with a strong female voice, not your average naisaly wimpy female voice but a strong Gwen Stefani-infused hooks. Like a crazy pop mash-up of Cyndi Lauper and the aforementioned Stefani, Stefy is all about scads of synth, soaring, lovelorn vocals and California attitude. Like every good Eighties band, this record has the required bouncy, dancy, radio-friendly fare… coupled with catchy, near-sad balladic radio-friendly fare. There is hardly a track on the CD that couldn't be a single, much like the memorable Madonna and Lauper albums of that decade.
Well worth the investment.
