Keane

Discussions about the new generations of bands influenced by '80s New Wave and Postpunk

Keane

It's weird that my sisters (who like hip hop and Ashlee- Simpson- kind- of- pop) and myself like this band that much. What is the thing about Keane that makes everybody like them??? Are some kind of new U2??
Their debut album "Hopes and fears" was really good and I sense that this new album will be even better. Their latest single "Is it any wonder?" is excellent.

Considering that they are a voice-keyboard-drum trio... the last single totally rocks without having any bass or guitars on it.

I only liked the one song initially, but that got played to death by teeny-boppers. It all sounds so horribly emo now - almost as bad as that james blunt[xx(]

I like Keane. They are an interesting group. I don't believe they play guitars whatsoever -- just piano/keyboard and maybe percussion. Unorthodox yet refreshing. Wouldn't mind seeing them in concert.

Uhhh.....nop... listen to a complete Keane album then listen to the James Blunt one and you'll see a huge difference.

I hate James Blunt! t-shirts are on their way... I can picture myself wearing them and little girls dissing on me. [:p]
