Never seen them mentioned in here, but I think they are one of the most interesting options among the NYC scene.
Dark... gloomy... with obvious The Cure/Echo and the bunnymen influences and cool aesthetics (of course, Interpol set the style for the aesthetics of these type of bands so they look "interpolish").
