Discussions about the new generations of bands influenced by '80s New Wave and Postpunk

The Lost Patrol in 2011

Postby shred » Sat Feb 05, 2011 3:28 am

This will certainly be an interesting year for The Lost Patrol. First, they make their big screen debut in Amy Heckerling's new film "Vamps" starring Sigourney Weaver, Alicia Silverstone, Richard Lewis, Krysten Ritter, Malcolm McDowell, Wallace Shawn and many others. The band will be featured in the film in addition to having a few songs in it. Amy's biggest successes came with Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Clueless and the Look Who's Talking films.

Secondly, indie legend Hal Hartley (Henry Fool, Faye Grim, Book of Life) will be using a TLP tune in his new film "Meanwhile." Hal's soundtracks routinely use big names such as Pavement, Yo La Tengo and PJ Harvey.

Back in Sept. 2010, The Lost Patrol's tune "On the Run" from their album MIDNIGHT MATINEE was on an episode of The CW's "Gossip Girl."

A new full-length album by TLP is expected in late 2011.

Thanks for listening.
