Just bought the debut album of Regina Spektor entitled "Soviet Kitsch". Really amazingly offbeat, funny, witty, and original stuff. Comparisons to Beat Happening, Björk , PJ Harvey, and Tiny Tim (!) The album really has a resonance with me considering our somewhat similar backgrounds.

I'll give it a listen. We have it here at the radio station and I remember it came in a package with a book of her poetry. I think we gave away the book of poetry as a call-in prize. DAMN!
