The Walkmen

I saw these guys at Lollapalooza last night. I've liked them quite a bit on CD, but they kicked serious ass on stage. They play with their entire bodies. Absolutely without question the best band I saw all day yesterday.

Oh yeah! "The Rat" was the second song of the set and they pounded through it. Hamilton (lead singer) had every vein in his neck popping out. My 13 year old son was with me and tried starting a pit with no luck. I think most of the people there weren't coming to Lollapalooza specifically to see The Walkmen and were just hanging out until the Pixies started. Plus, with the humidity, is was about 95F out.

Today at Lolla, I really wanted to see Arcade Fire, but with the humidity it's 115F, so we decided to stay home. Sucks big time!
