Franz Ferdinand Single Available

Postby Frau_Blucher » Tue Aug 23, 2005 11:48 am

I just checked the iTunes site and they've got the "Do You Want To" single as a prerelease. I hate to say it Hexicon, but it does nothing for me. I hope there's more goodies to come rather than same-old same-old.

I just heard the new single. IMHO it sucks. I hope this is no indication that they will have a sophmore slump[:(]

Yeah, I know. That horns and sax thing sounds like ZZ Top (and not in a good way). [xx(] Of course, "Take Me Out" is my least favorite of the first album, so I'm hopeful that the other tracks will be better.

Not long ago I got their album. I did not like the first single, but I think the album sounds great like the previous one.

I think they have great album covers, too.
Any idea where they could be found?

I was'nt all that impressed with "Do You Want To" either. I thought it was a retread of "Take Me Out" but it became a huge hit so I'd rather they have some success than The Pussycat Dolls or something.

Funny thing is, I swear that "Do You Want To" is a Bowie song. Can't remember which one. Something from the Berlin trilogy maybe?

Sounds a bit like "Boys Keep Swinging" but not a Bowie song to my knowledge.
