Hello there! Any Arcade Fire fans here? I've been just listening to their album "Funeral" and I think it's a nice piece of music. There are a lot of influences by Joy Division and Talking Heads. My favourites are>"Neighbourhood#2(Laika)", "Une Anne Sans Lumiere" and "Haiti"

Yes! I think a couple of threads have mentioned them before, but it bears mentioning again. I'm really eager to hear their next work...see if Funeral was a one trick pony or, as they expand their scope and concepts, they'll deliver even more! Hopefully the latter.
I missed an apparently great concert recently in Montreal (where they're from I believe, or maybe Toronto) when they played on a bill with Broken Social Scene. I think Feist was there too since she's been a transient member of the latter. I'm seething with jealously...this sounded like a quintessentially hip Montreal happening. Why oh why am I a working stiff suburban dad and husband who can't just roam the country attending cool events?! But anyway, I'd recommend picking up stuff from all three.

I like arcade fire very much.. almost nobody knows them in Argentina and I'm waiting for Funeral to be edited. I love their sort of New Ro style.
PD: Think that they are more influenced by The Cure and Roxy music than by Joy and Talking Heads.

You mean David Bowie's back-up band?
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Their stuff hasn't really grabbed me yet.
Maybe the next release will do it.
