She Wants Revenge

Sorry if this is a repost but and friend just shot me the mpspece for this band and they are really good! Think Ministry - Twitch mixed with Bravery/Killers/Fischerspooner.

My thoughts on SWR.

The drums don't sound natural, too mechanical for my taste.

They sound like the "Casio Keyboard" version of Interpol.

Nitpicking- The CD cover is lame, not very artistic.

If you think Interpol is a great band (as I do), then you will think these guys are a very cheap knockoff.

Saw them live opening for The Lovemakers a few weeks back. I was very impressed. Goth music without the goth pretentions and silly clothing.

I just discovered these guys and I must say I really enjoy them!
Dark and atmospheric, but not pretentious.

Hey Ollie,

When you saw them live, did they actually have a drummer? How does their live sound differ from their studio sound?

Yeah, they had a live drummer. If I remember correctly he was just a jobber who also played with The Lovemakers. Much more powerful and organic sounding with live drums (obviously) and much less "got" than the record.

SWR might sound lame to some but it has the goth feeling we have been missing lately... SWR and other new new wave groups are cpnstanly played in our new free internet radio at koolrockradio.com. Welcome all!

She Wants Revenge is one of the best bands out there right now, IMHO. I loves 'em!

Captivating subject matter on the vid, Popreactor. Haven't heard a beat like that since Soul II Soul's "Back To Life" in the 90s.

Electric Slide anyone?
