Current Artist You'd Wanna Be?

Not necessarily based on just their music or just their style, etc. Based on anything you want. Who would it be. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lotta folks.

I gotta pick The Strokes. Their music's alright, pretty good listening, they're not gonna save the earth or anything. But I'm digging their vibe. Not an over-cultivated style (Interpol?!), not over-earthy (BSP), not nauseatingly over-produced (The Killers), or too self-aware (Franz). If I were young and single and a musician, I think it'd be a blast being the Strokes. Yeah they've been over-hyped, but that's not their fault - people were hungering for some good alt guitar bands. They seem real, a bit gritty, and who can beat a lead singer's name like Julian Casablancas. Can you freaking imagine coming up to a woman and saying in a deep latin inflected voice "Hello, I am Julian Casablancas" - bastard!
