I watched an old SNL a couple of months ago, The Specials were the guests and they did Gangsters. I remember watching it the original airing. Made me feel a little old [:(]

A gvreat SNL show that was, saw the Specials in LA at the World Famous "Whiskey A-Go-Go." They sold out a whole week of shows, and Chrisalyis spent loads of money in painting the joint black & white squares... an awesome concert back in '83!

OK, here's my video of The Specials - A Message to You, a cover of Dandy Livingstone's "Rudy, A Message To You." This video was rejected at YouTube due to Viacom's MTV2 logo on the video, so I've joined livevideo.com as vespaboy and am uploading all my ska, and OMD videos, etc. there now... 'F' U-Tub!!!

Glok I couldn't agree more on their utter lack of success in the U.S. market, they were big in Europe and still are to this day. Their debut album is my favorite ever. Peter and Anna's voices blend so beautifully and the song writing was incredible. Here is vid from their second album "After Here Through Midland".
