This is the easy time
The first and last river crossed
A happy time

Can you hear the voices
Calling - calling - calling
Go on - go on - go on keep moving
Its so easy to see why

He who will rise will fall again
I see your eyes
Castles in spain

Push your way across
And did I feel uneasy here
You settled in

Can you hear ...
You’re here and you know why

He who will ...

Can you hear ...
What can I do

You settled in
A happy time
What can I do

Man acting like a farmer and,
He's treated the woman like a poor cow,
We got to treat you better from now,
But man is just a baby and,
He's needing your milk of kindness.
I vow to drink as much as you will allow.

All the way through history,
Man, machine, no mystery,
All the way through history,
Girl have the brain to act like the weaker sex.

Down in the cockpit,
Man need the woman to pull him right out of it,
Down in the cockpit,
Man need the woman to pull him right out of it.

Queen wants the castle,
back from the rascal,
Queen wants the castle.

The girl tribe are growing up and,
Filling the world full with a new soul,
To get so far they payed a high toll.
Try not to make,
The same mistakes,
As man has done, or you'll fall in that hole,
And you will see us changing our role.

All the way through history,
Man, machine, no mystery,
All the way through history,
Girl have the brain to act like the weaker sex.

Down in the cockpit,
Man need the woman to pull him right out of it,
Down in the cockpit,
Man need the woman to pull him right out of it.

Queen wants the castle,
back from the rascal,
Queen wants the castle.

When I was in my mother's womb
Social structure seemed a simple thing
After birth I cursed my luck
Then went down to breakfast

What I know fills me up
It is an everlasting cup
What I believe will never change
My consolation for the night

Mother had for me an egg
I understood the relations of production
She always provided for me
That's where I lost my naivet?BR>
Stability is in my mind
I associate with my kind
Charity, it fills my heart
To help the poor in Africa

Good, yes, you've done well
Here is a small prize
The history of the world
Good, yes, you've done well
Here is a small prize
The history of the world
Good, yes, you've done well
Here is a small prize
The history of the world

There's so much panic in this world
But we are living in the best
Of all possible worlds

Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world

Deep inside of me
We'll I got this wanderlust
Remember how we talked last night?
We'll it's just as we discussed
Ashes turn to ashes
Cash turns to dust
Theres no-one in this world right now
You think you can trust

No real bruises I can show
Travelling the world on the radio
No real scars I can display
Burning up tomorrow into yesterday

Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world

Deep inside of me
In the seat of my pants
Theres a pain as big and hard
As a civil disturbance
Conquer all your fears
Seize every chance
In the end make fear your friend
And change your circumstance

No real bruises I can show
Travelling the world on the radio
No real scars I can display
Burning up tomorrow into yesterday

Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world
Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world

It's cold out hear the wind howl down the chimney
Wish I could just cry out to someone, help
but we live in isolation of the cruelest kind
Scared to show our colours to the world

Time to break away from my condition
Rejoin the human race, see what I'm missing
Try to face the day my private passion
Is eating me away

Log cabin fever (x3)
It's a remote possibility
Log cabin fever
It's an impossible delivery
Log cabin fever
It's not an impossibility [repeat til fade]

Oh, I can't take another heartache
Though you say oh my friend, I'm at my wit's end
You say your love is bonafide, but that don't coincide

With the things that you do and when I ask you to be nice
You say you've got to be...

Cruel to be kind in the right measure
Cruel to be kind it's a very good sign
Cruel to be kind means that I love you
Baby, got to be cruel, you got to be cruel to be kind

Well I do my best to understand dear
But you still mystify and I want to know why
I pick myself up off the ground to have you knock me back down
Again and again and when I ask you to explain
You say, you've got to be...

Cruel to be kind in the right measure
Cruel to be kind it's a very good sign
Cruel to be kind means that I love you
Baby, got to be cruel, you got to be cruel to be kind

Ooh ooh ooh
ooh.. ooh... ooh...

Well I do my best to understand dear
But you still mystify and I want to know why
I pick myself up off the ground to have you knock me back down
Again and again and when I ask you to explain
You say, you've got to be... etc...

I look around me and what do I see?
Sadness surrounds me, alone as can be
With too much time and too much distance.
These chains that bind me
They won't set me free,
I look behind me and coming for me
Is my best friend, she's my resistance.

So if you find yourself alone and so unkind,
And if you've asked yourself, over and over,
And even if your heartbeats hurt like goodbyes,
Try, try, try
Open your mind, spend some time,
With the gentle kind

............
O O
Your name has slipped my mind again
O O O O O
O O
Your name has slipped my mind again
O O O O O

It's hard to focus in this light
I'm growing warm and feeling dull
The heartbeat pounds with vicious fright
There's something to remember

I clench my fist but feel no sensation
The walls around me spin and sway
A flash back image in my vision
I remember

I originally posted this artist/song Icehouse - Walls, but changed b/c I wanted to post Ultravox!:

Face in the window in the night
Caught for a second by the light
Ashes of memories still aglow (Only for you)
Portraits and pictures you once saw
Visions in blue

Read while the letters still remain
Sip from the wine of youth again
Oaths made in silence still return (Only for you)
Cast like a shroud your clutching arm
Visions in blue

Catch aimless smiles from passers-by
Blistered and broken in reply
Breath seems to mist the hazy view (Only for you)
Tears coat your lifeless eyes with dew
Visions in blue
Visions in blue

Ashes of memories still aglow (Repeated 3x)
Portraits and pictures you once saw

Face in the window in the night
Caught for a second by the light
Ashes of memories still aglow (Only for you)
Portraits and pictures you once saw
Visions in blue

^^^Gotta love Ultravox!!!^^^

I thought I'd take the slide
I thought I'd be alright
But when the details swam
Oh no, the door got jammed
Someone took the hand
And we were out slow dancing

In the blue light, blue light, uh-huh
In the blue light, blue light, uh-huh
In the blue light, blue light, uh-huh
In the blue light, blue light
Blue light, blue light

There was a crowd below
Swanning in the glow
All the paste it shimmered
In the swimmer's glimmer
It was a sticky summer
And I was diving under...

The Blue light, blue light, uh-huh
In the blue light, blue light, uh-huh
In the blue light, blue light, uh-huh
In the blue light, blue light
Blue light, blue light

Well nothing drove out behind me
I was so glad
Even the walls were turning round

Well, someone said
There was something wrong
But I couldn't quite
Put my finger on it

What the...
Well I thought I heard...
And I tried to...
Then we were just diving

In the blue light, blue light, uh-huh
In the blue light, blue light, uh-huh
In the blue light, blue light, uh-huh
In the blue light, blue light
Blue light, blue light

I thought you knew me by now
Let the lights go on roaring
Someone's hand on my shoulder
Then whip past the turning point
There's time for the taking

Maximum acceleration
Maximum acceleration
Maximum acceleration

A face that goes slowly
A signal close by me
The landscapes are changing
And some of us flipped a coin
And shimmered away

Someone stood beside me for a moment in the rain
A silhouette, a cigarette, and a gesture of disdain
I felt a dark door open, saw a sudden ghost come through
A spark leapt from my fingertip and I knew it must be you
Ain't you the man who dies every day?
You're the man who dies every day
You're the man
We never saw you walk in, we never saw you leave
You flick the ashes off a lap on everybody's sleeve
You always play that funny pack of cards without an ace
And every street you ever walked is mapped out on your face
'Cause you're the man who dies every day
You're the man who dies every day
You're the man
You always kept a sunset behind your lonely shoulder
You never showed on photographs and you never grew much older
You flicker like a shaky shadow, moving like a thief
You never drop your facade and you never seek relief
'Cause you're the man who dies every day
You're the man who dies every day
You're the man who dies every day
You're the man who dies every day
You're the man

I found the perfect picture, of a perfect stranger.
It looked as if, it were taken in the forties sometime,
Judging by the style.

He could be a killer or a blind man with a cane,
Perhaps he died in a car crash, years ago.
Right now, it's impossible to tell.

I almost thought I saw him, standing, whistling on a bridge.
I asked him the time, but when he turned around,
I saw it wasn't him at all.

I'm still searching.
I'm still searching.

I saw him in an airport, while he was sitting on a wing.
And I waved to him, but I don't think he noticed me.
I've got a funny feeling I know who he is.

Mr. X (Repeat 14 times and fade)
