Squeeze Request Wanted

Postby newwavepopman » Mon Feb 27, 2006 12:39 pm

If anyone has the song by Squeeze "Hits Of The Year" can you please do me a huge favor by posting it in here? I've been looking for this song for quite awhile. It's one of their lesser known songs, and it's taken from their "Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti" album, which has yet to see a release onto a CD,as most of their original A&M LP's.A&M really needs to get on the ball and reissue all of the original Squeeze albums onto CD.

If anyone has "Hits Of The Year" and can post it for me in here,I would gladly appreciate it and many thank yous in advance.

"Cosi..." was released on CD in the UK and Germany in 1997. Hard to find now.

"Hits Of The Year" is also on the 2000 compilation, "Up The Junction." That's not as difficult to find.

FLASH! According to the March '06 issue of Uncut magazine, the Squeeze albums will soon be remastered and re-released! (There's a great interview with Difford & Tilbrook.) It doesn't give any more details -- when or which albums -- but the remastered version of "Another Nail In My Heart" that's included on the CD that comes with the mag, sounds AMAZING!!

I have an mp3 of Hits of the Year. I could email it. One of these days I should get yousendit.com working for me.

Hello Scramjet:
Right now I don't trust my email box,as some songs had been emailed to me,but I never got them in my email box.It could be that my email box is too full, and that's why my emails from what I've been told has been bouncing back.It would really be alot more refreshing to me,if you could just send the file from yousendit,to here on the message board. It makes it alot more easier to get and to download from the message board, especially,if the files are getting bounced back.

Thank you British.Sincerely,Newwavepopman
