Could someone post a copy of Wazmo Nariz's "Lips" when they get a chance? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

I have it. Email me at s1500@comcast.net. It's a vinyl rip.

Thanks, my friend . . . I got it late last night from your download site, but this gives me a chance to thank you. I also grabbed "The Oven" and "This Is Your Elbow" which I had not heard before. You did a great job with the rips -- there's no way to tell they came from vinyl, and "Lips" is even better than I remembered it.

Any chance you've got Richard Lloyd's "Alchemy" or Fashion's "Sodium Pentathol Negative?"

'fraid I don't have Richard Lloyd nor Fashion.

I'm still not happy with the vinyl rips. I now split my vinyl rips into 2 categories. Sounds good and sounds horrible. The Wazmo track you got was in the former. I had a coworker test my pre-amp, and regardless of the bad review it got, it was symmetrical in the sound output. He said in a few tests it outperformed his pre-amp.

So my right side being a little hotter than the left might be up to my turntable. And it could be down to the needle or tone-arm needing tuning. as for the rest, I just nicely clean the vinyl before recording. Any pops caught are usually to one side, so I just copy from the other.

Hopefully when I get some more free time, I'll finally solve the problem, wihch may or may not involve a new sound card.

Don't go too crazy . . . you'll never get the same frequency response as a digital recording off the original master. You should be very pleased with what you did manage. Thanks again.
