New Wave CD's

I was a hugh WLIR listener from 1981 up until they changed to WDRE. I began listening again when they changed back to WLIR. I am saddened by the recent change of format.

If you're looking for the 80's New Wave songs WLIR used to play then you should check out these CD;s:

I Just Can't Get Enough Volume 1-15 from Rhino Records

Rock & Wave and Pop & Wave series from Sony Records Germany

Living In Oblivion The 80's Greatest Hits EMI Records (I don't know how many volumes there are. I have volumes 2-4)

A 5 double CD set called The Edge which contains long dance versions. The Malibu Dance Club used to play these versions. I ordered it from www.Hottracks.com

On The Edge 2 CD set by Warner Special Products

I also have every Tuesday Night Radio Concert on tape from 1983-1988. I plan to transfer them to CD in the near future

Jill, I was not smart enough to copy tapes when I worked there. perhaps you'd be so kind and help an old LIR DJ out ?

I'd love to hear some of them and I'm sure others I'd kill for.

The only concert I have which made it to my computer is the New Order live in Japan (probably aired first before 1987). I have seen that before in video form as well but I could not find that for sale anywhere even GEMM when I last looked. I accidentall
