Hi,

I stumbled upon this site in search of the New Man tune Bad Boys.
Any chance you might be able to reupload the song?

Many thanks!

<br>And the rest of the New Models story. "Future Assassins" and "Can't Relate," recorded live at the Metro, appear on, naturally, the "Live at the Metro" comp album (Press-A-Dent, 1982). "Blind Ambition" / "Colors" was a 1983 12" single recorded 6 months after "Sight and Sound" came out. "Silent Running" is yet another off "Sounds Eclectic" (Revolution, 1986), and was their curtain call, as the band was effectively dunzo by that point. "No Control," recorded live at The Living Room in December, 1984, was released posthumously on the "City History" double-album compilation (Big Bubble, 1987). Will be posting the "Strangers in Disguise" promotional video soon. I hope.

And if you downloaded "Future Assassins" and "Can't Relate" from me previously (I believe I posted them at Ollie's request), throw those in the trash and redownload these. The old rips I did sounded horrible. I'm embarrassed I put them up here sounding like that.

Matt Thurber - drums, vocals (why couldn't I remember he was Johnson's replacement towards the end?)

November Group is one of my favourite bands of all time!
Does anyone know artists with similiar sound? With same groove and touch.

I *loved* that Wunderkind single! Saw them perform at The Underground in Allston once, and they had a whole set of gnarly post-punk prog/fusion like those two tunes. Wish I knew what happened to their rhythm section, because those guys were definitely no slouches.

Oh, someone actually have seen them live. It's amazing! Do you know more about projects of November Group members?
I know bassist played in The Devices.
Also, before Wunderkind there was Ann Prim Group. Do you know anything about them?

I don't know much about the November Group members, but my college roommate was sort of the "self-appointed" guitar tech for Ann Prim during her Ann Prim Group days; he built some proprietary effects boxes and stompbox switching gizmos for her rig, and might have assisted as their live sound engineer. I'll reach out to him and see if he can provide any juicy tidbits.

What I mostly remember from him is that APG played Cantones a lot.

It looks like APG had good sound. Do you remember how they music sounds like? Somethere I have read that it was post-punk. But isn't it to early for post-punk?

I realize I'm digging up an ancient post here, but does anyone still have the rip of that Wunderkind 45?

Somewhere in my uptown storage facility -- pretty sure I know exactly where, though it's not immediately accessible -- I have a cassette recording made from the 45 of of "Fallen Among The Palms" and "Metropolis". One of these days I'll dig it up and digitize it.

...but don't hold your breath :)

Down Avenue was from Boston and released a 12" EP in 1985. If anyone has it, I'd like to hear it. Thanks!

I just ripped the Down Avenue EP. I had no idea that the singer, Charles Pettigrew was also the "Charles" of "Charles & Eddie/Would I Lie To You" fame. Or that he sadly died a few years ago aged just 37.
