Again, this is lame, it's not my rip. I'm the link directs you to a VinylObscurity blogpost from 2010. There hasn't been much discussion on Hoorah! Boys! Hoorah! as of late, so I'm posting this to keep their spirit alive. They are GREAT! Their first single "Is This What You Promised Me" was released in 1984, and is so catchy. It was produced by Tony Visconti.

Their second single "How The West Was Won" was really good too, it's b-side even better! In the reissues section of this forum someone mentions there's a ten track LP that exists. Does anyone have it, or could anyone direct me to it? I love these guys!

Here's the link to the blog that has their complete released discography.

Hey Dominik, excited to hear those tracks, but the link is dead on the blog :( Think you could upload them yourself?

Thanks

Thunderbird, I did get the track and you are right, it's INCREDIBLE! I wish a 7" version exited. The track teased me all day, cuz I couldn't play the WMA on my phone, and I had to wait til I got home. It was worth the wait. I also really loved your band. The Recruits song See My Face is really catchy. Now I want to hear the b-side!. I can see why it fetches over well over $100 on eBay! (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RECRUITS-SEE- ... 0775683344) I think I speak for the rest of the forum when I say I'd love to hear some more Recruits stuff!

I'm waiting on another Hoorah! Boys! Hoorah! track that was released on a compilation in 1985. When I get that, could I add the song you sent me to my HBH collection and reupload? I totally respect when artists don't want their unreleased tracks floating around, but this one is so good, it deserves to be heard!!

I just pulled up the NWoutpost thread where user philipp84lemke was talking about the ten track demo. I see you replied to this in 2010! I love NWoutpost! Here's a link to the thread...
http://www.nwoutpost.com/forum/topic.as ... hichpage=4

Anyway, thank you so much again for sharing both this and the Recruits track with me. They're both playing on a loop in my apartment tonight.

Dominik

No problems Dominik happy for you to share it and I would personally be interested if you get the other track from the compilation, you have my email address now so let me know

did you see my post about Ade,s other band big noise UK , with Chris Payne from numans band , I have that if want to hear some tracks off it , they are very good, If you like Hoorah boys do you like bands like china crisis etc , there is another fairly obscure band from the 80's called This Final Frame , check their facebook out , they have a new album out soon , their track Hannah's dream is really great , they had a track out about 5 years ago called across the wire and it like a mixture of Hoorah boys, furniture , china crisis etc , anyway glad you liked the recruits track

I changed the name of this topic because thanks to the very generous Thunderbird2 and Mike over at Fade2grey.com, I've been able to add two fantastic and very rare Hoorah! Boys! Hoorah! tracks to the collection. Here's the new link and running order...

1. Is This What You Promised Me?
2. So Long
3. How The West Was Won
4. You Love Me I Love Me
5. Something That You Said*
6. I Never Thought It Would Be This Way (12" Version)**
7. Is This What You Promised Me? (Dance Mix)

*Something That You Said is on the "Laughing All The Way To The Banks" compilation LP over at Fade2Grey http://www.fade2grey.com/rip-it-up/laug ... ment-23480

**I Never Thought It Would Be This Way was supposed to be released by EMI as the follow up to Is This What You Promised Me. H!B!H! vocalist Ade Orange gave Thunderbird2 a copy, and he was kind enough to share it!

Enjoy, and if anyone comes across any rare Hoorah! material, please send it my way!
