SHARE: Illustrated Man - The Complete Collection

So... today I got a Thompson Twins tattoo aboard the Queen Mary ship. I was at the Ink & Iron festival in Long Beach, CA seeing Iggy Pop... Anyway, Thompson Twins aren't that obscure (though they've got plenty of rare tracks to share) but Illustrated Man is pretty obscure, so i figured, inspired by my new 'ink' I'd share the complete Illustrated Man collection.

The band featured members of Japan, Gang Of Four, and James Freud's Radio Stars. You can read all about them on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illustrated_Man_(band)

Or you can watch their video for "Head Over Heels"
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/pNIu-2c4IVQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

They released one EP (5 songs plus a remix of "Head Over Heels") and 2 singles ("Just Enough" and "Head Over Heels") which each contained an exclusive b-side and 7" version. They made some great songs!

1. Head Over Heels (Single Mix)
2. Just Enough
3. Fall From Grace
4. Moving Forward
5. Days Without End
6. Songs Of The Heart
7. Sensation
8. Head Over Heels (Double Mix)
9. Just Enough (12" Version)
10. Head Over Heels (Original 7" Version)
11. Just Enough (7" Version)

Wikipedia suggests "Fall From Grace" was also a single but I can't find anything else to support that. If anyone knows more about these guys...

Good stuff. So what does the tattoo look like? Is it the three heads logo?

Illustrated Man were formed in London by the founding member of Gang of Four – Hugo Burnham. The guitarist, Rob Dean came from the group Japan. They were likened to more mainstream acts like Inxs and Duran Duran and at the time has much promise.
