last year, i made several ABC related music blogs.


this was one that i made for a 2cd remix and
singles compilation:

ok, it’s been a little more than 10 years.

but it’s time to revisit this project,
because now we have all the material
for it.

this is the abc remix 2013 remix project,
and although some tracks have been
released on CD, there are still quite a
few that haven’t been yet.

i’ve done a major reorganization of the
tracks, and figured it made more sense
to put the tracks in order of release
chronologically, rather than by
my personal order.

A nice collection. I'd like to add two tracks that haven't appeared yet on cd:

1. Ocean Blue (The Pacific Mix)
2. The Night You Murdered Love (7" Edit) which i think only appeared as a bonus track on the 12" maxi single. The video version uses the 7" edit as well.

ocean blue (pacific mix) might be the one on absolutely or one
of the compilations, but is not listed as such.

i don't like that song, so i haven't compared all the versions.

the second one, is different from the video version, because that
has sound effects in it. i have a rip from the dvd and can check it.

I would have included "Poison arrow - USA extended" and "Tears are not enough - extended" and would have left off some of the recent stuff which wasn't my cup of tea.

i didn't want to include songs that are easily found on
other compilations.

i was trying to put all their vinyl only tracks together.

the real thing mixes are excellent, if you haven't heard
them. the promo ones are well done. samples and downloads
are on my blog.

viva love (extended) is one of the best songs they
have ever done.

There are two different Bruce Forest remix promos of The Real Thing, not sure which one you have listed but there is the 'other one'!

In the booklet to the Up reissue, it mentions a Greatest Love Of All (Instrumental) as a b-side to one of the Real Thing 12"s - but I can't find any discography/Discogs that supports that. Anyone know if it exists ?

Yep the two forest mixes are different and from recollection the dmc one he did is also different. Might dig them out to replay. They have different colour labels.
