This is a fantastic fantastic single from 1982. I'm a huge fan of Philip Jap and he wrote this single. I understand there to be a demo of it for his own 1983 album, which I'd love to hear. I believe this is the final single from Peter Straker, who had some hits in the 70's. Both the A and B side were produced by Steve Brown. It was released on the Rocket Record Company/Phonogram. The song wasn't on Youtube, so I uploaded it. Take a listen:
