In 1987, Warner Bros. in the USA was apparently considering releasing "Sex Object" as the third single from Kraftwerk's "Electric Cafe" album. A 7" and 12" version of the song was edited/mixed by Joseph Watt and both were included on the Promo-Only CD "Hit It. Dance & Contemporary Music" ( http://www.discogs.com/Various-Hit-It-D ... se/1307620 ). I bought the CD on ebay several years ago for a small fortune (the copied it and immediately sold it for another small fortune!). There's nothing especially spectacular about these mixes other than they DO each have some "new" elements to them. That, and the fact that neither mix was officially released ANYWHERE on ANY format beyond this rare Promo CD make them extremely rare. It's a great song though. I wish it HAD been released and been given a more thorough remix treatment like "The Telephone Call" had.
