Share: Camouflage "That Smiling Face" pitch corrected mixes

My favorite Camouflage song is hands down, "That Smiling Face". I played the hell out of the 12" single back in 1989 - those amazing German Band Version and Justin Strauss mixes just made my spine tingle every time.

I finally bought the elusive USA Promo CD-Single about 12yrs ago for an outrageous sum of money (I was lucky to recoup every penny when I sold it a few years later). One thing that always kind of nagged at me was that the Justin Strauss mixes were actually slowed down compared to the original LP and German Band versions. I believe this was intentional, as this was also the way the 12" vinyl was. So, me being the anal freak that I can often be, I used the tracks from the Promo CDS and adjusted the pitch of both Justin Strauss mixes so they are now the correct tempo and key, matching the original LP and German Band versions.

Here are the adjusted tracks in AIFF or WAV format:

BTW - for those who were following my Kraftwerk 7" edit uploads, I will be uploading the "Pocket Calculator" and "Numbers" edits soon!
