listening to an excellent recording of an old glasgow gig right now. They really were/are ridiculously under-rated.

Yep, I saw them live last year and were better than ever.
I have a few Glasgow, FMs from 87 and 89 I think and an audience from 84 or 85.

yeah, they were supporting Paul Young about 8 miles from where i live about a month ago but it was the week it snowed really bad and my home isn't the most accessible at the best of times.

still makes me laugh when i see this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/China-Crisis-W ... ina+crisis

and think that it only cost me a couple of pounds from the supermarket sale one new year (same with a dexy's and a heaven 17 dvd). I'm doing my best to musically educate my neighbourhood this afternoon while the weather is good now playing a Prince soundboard from madison square garden 1986. I think one or two even joined in on rasberry beret.

As a non-dime user I think my copy came from a fantastic (sadly long gone) blog called anything should happen but thanks for the original.

Thanks Rissan. Do you happen to have the original FLACs and if so can you upload or reup at DIME? It's a great show but I just have the mp3 version.

Sounds brilliant. This BBC recording is quite rare and most copies missing Working With Fire and Steel.

Here's tragedy and mystery (coincidentally the title of 'Bill's' forthcoming autobiography) from Brighton 26 1 1984. The tapes a bit distorted but that is outweighed by the rarity value.

A question from the past. And a promise to send you this one. Just found the CDr I burned of the Rotterdam Show this morning.

The CDr contains four more live tracks. Two from the Hanna Hanna 12" single and two from the You Did Cut Me 2x7" single.

Here is the link to the loseless files: https://mega.nz/file/A4gFxQhZ#95EscfsKb ... zUFjAwJKD4

What I remember from the radio broadcast, probably KRO Rocktempel on a Sunday night one or two weeks after 31 March 1984.

China Crisis played a support for Simple Minds, whom played the Rotterdam Ahoy for two successive nights. The broadcast of the show was of the first night.
What no-one expected was the great enthusiastic response of the crowd, who demanded an encore. The band came back on stage and played Red Sails, which unfortunately was not broadcasted.
The next evening Simple Minds demanded that the band did not play an encore how hard the crowd would scream for it.

The next year CC returned to the Netherlands to play Pinkpop. After that, according to Setlist.fm, it took them thirty years to return to the Netherlands again.
I know this is not true, since I remember the band played some acoustic shows in the nineties.

The first time I saw the band was in Sheffield on the 13th of December 2002. Since they returned to the Netherlands, I visit nearly every show at the boerderij in Zoetermeer.

Thanks it's great to see some live stuff, by anyone, on here. As I've said in pm's to two other members I would love to post some stuff but it's simply not worth it based on the behaviour of two others.
