Re the AFOS thread on the forthcoming compilation, here's the missing Cocteau label 12" single of Talking, complete with b sides.
I'll leave them on my dropbox for a week or two. Recorded as wav and cleaned as best as I could.

Enjoy!

I'm not sure how that's happened. I've re-ripped the vinyl using Audacity with stereo settings, but the left and right channels are outputting the same. Apologies. If I can get this rectified I'll upload the files again.

STEREO FIX - PLEASE USE NEW LINK :
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3gh5vn63z3fkash/AABkYObtNRYlABP4Z-tRYKO9a?dl=0

Finally got to the bottom of this. I had connected my turntable to a different USB port than normal. Although Audacity was set to stereo, the USB recording device sound properties had defaulted to mono...
... and for those paying attention, the files are now playing at the correct speed (i.e. tracks now about 7 seconds shorter). I have replaced my t/t belt as it had stretched.

I will leave the files on my dropbox for a couple of weeks.

Enjoy!

Thank you for sharing this Jon, and for the extra effort to re-record it in stereo at the correct speed. It sounds really good! I have this 12" in near mint condition but your presentation here sounds better than my copy. I've always enjoyed these versions - shame they will probably never get an official CD release.
