yeah, i have to include that to:
---------------------------------
this is mine(cinemix edit) 7:25 v, cd
this is mine(filmix) 7:18 v, cd
this is mine (extended) 5:39 v

just saw this:
-------------------
https://www.discogs.com/Heaven-17-This- ... se/2359012

european 12 inch of 'this is mine':
B1 This Is Mine (Cinemix) 8:55

which is longer than on the uk 12 inch, so thats an edit..

anyone know if that is real? guess so, its on youtube:

The Cinemix on the remaster of How Men Are lasts for 8:46. I honestly wouldn't trust Discogs as great as it is you could be there all day editing mistakes people make.

Great idea but a very flawed discography to work from. There are tracks/mixes here that don't exist. You need to pair up the mixes that are the same under different titles (Crushed in particular). You need to add all the tracks that were/are available online from the 2006 remasters. Remove the myth of the the extended instrumental of Let Me Go

well, it's a first pass, so i'm still going through it and verifying the tracks.. i'm pretty sure it's about 95% right,

to me the remastered tracks are the same, but i added all the bonus tracks.

1) about let me go instrumental, its probably a typo, i got all my information from heaven17.de, and discogs..

he has:
http://www.heaven17.de/disi0106.htm

Let Me Go ! (4:19)
Let Me Go ! (Instrumental) (4:59)

UK Virgin VS532 30Oct1982 Canada Virgin VS1161 (4:10/4:59)
1982 Germany Virgin 104826
Jan1982 Spain B105275
Japan Virgin VIPX-1707 (4:15/4:53)
1983 Portugal Virgin 510405 1982 (with text-only backside on cover)

12"
Let Me Go ! (6:23)
Let Me Go ! (Instrumental) (5:59)

UK Virgin VS532-12 30
Oct1982 Germany Virgin 600704-213 1982

i haven't checked my vinyl, but yeah, it's probably the same as the 7inch version.

if you make any corrections, i will add you to the credits.

So just to clarify, a 5:59 instrumental version of 'Let Me Go' does NOT exist? It's just that I seem to remember having an MP3 of one years ago - maybe I'm wrong.

Hi
Yes the instrumentals were from your rip and the tape I sold you. Thanks for that again by the way. I was listening to them again today for the first time in years and I really like them. And That's No Lie (my favourite H17 track) sounds much more jazzy on the instrumental. I am still curious as to whether these were demos or not.

Thanks for the screen grabs. I have always wanted to do something like that, create complete versions of the first three albums. However most of the vinyl rips I find are pretty poor.

What is Echo?

Most stuff can be digitally sourced these days, either from CD, retailers, or via curated rips from Burning The Ground etc.

'Echo' is a bit that is hidden at the end of one of the vinyl 12" mixes. I'll check which one. I've done some better cleaned up wav and mp3 transfers from the tape. I'll send you a link.

I know beatport.com was selling the instrumental versions as well as a few other bonus remixes that were not included on the 2006 remastered cd release of "How Men Are". I remember finding them around the time of the cd's release - maybe within a year after it - and they were for sale there (in MP3 and WAV) for several years. I bought a couple of the instrumentals and a couple of the remixes and they are indeed the real deal. I assume they were remastered at the same time as what ended up on the 2006 cd but for whatever reason the disc was whittled down to just a handful of bonus tracks.

just wanted to clarify, the itunes version in 2006 had these extra tracks:
----------------------------
10 This Is Mine (Cinemix) 8:45
11 And That's No Lie (Remixed To Enhance Its Danceability) 6:18
12 Counterforce II 3:09
13 Sunset Now (12" Extended Version) 5:30
14 This Is Mine (Filmmix) 7:21
15 Sunset Now (12" Extended Version) 5:30 (instrumental?)
16 And That's No Lie (7" Mix) 3:31
17 Sunset Now (Full Length Version) 5:15
18 The Fuse (Full Length Version) 5:26
19 Flamedown (Full Length Version) 4:01
20 Reputation (Full Length Version) 3:26

https://www.discogs.com/Heaven-17-How-M ... e/11116889

i think i have most of the 12 inch and 7 inch versions, does anyone have them all, the full length versions
would be cool. also not sure why tracks 13 and 15 are listed the same.

That was on Amazon UK in mp3 format for ages but has gone now. It would be nice if they ever get around to releasing that box set of How Men Are which seems to have been put on hold forever that they could include those full length versions.

Does anybody know where to get a copy of "Only after dark" in good sound quality? Better than the one of the youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rr1fbXQGtfk). Even discogs doesn't have it listed.

OK. Here is a link that should satisfy all recent requests...and more. I will only leave it up for a few days.
