Once again, I can only quote whats already there on discogs:

"Short-lived 1980's UK new wave duo, who got some popularity around 1983"

Two great singles & with even beter b-sides.

Too bad the quality is not the best....

These are great. Too bad they never made an album. Is the 7" version of Without You around?

After reading your post, I dug around in my archives for 'Perfect Strangers' and in my file I had songs that weren't listed in the discography of 'Perfect Strangers'. After further investigation I found out there are two bands name 'Perfect Strangers' that had releases in 1983. One is from the San Francisco Bay area and the other is the UK duo. Anne Dudley produced a couple of the songs for Perfect Strangers UK.

There was an even lesser known band (from Illinois?) called Perfect Strangers that released a 7" single "Paris Skies b/w The Right Time" in 1985.

Poodle you should start a "Blog" of the bands you unearth. It's almost a genre in itself. Most of the "rarities" you present or seek are the outer fringe of local bands mostly self- released, unsigned to a major label or independent released from different areas/cities, mostly in the U.S. Every town and city has their local favorite club or pub rock band that was popular in the local "scene" but never made it national or hit the big time. For every town/city that has a band or bands that made it, there are several local favorites that never really made it out of the "local" scene. These bands seem to be your forte.

Yes! I've also heard once on discogs sale a short sample of that Illinois Perfect Strangers band and it was pretty good!
Shame it's so rare...

There was also another band with the same name (from Jackson MS) that released an album in 1986 called "Protected In America". Though the music sucks, a very bad alternative style poop.
