Postby Rissan » Sun Dec 31, 2017 6:21 am

Ans so we come to the last day of the year and the final topic of this year featuring An Introduction To Dutch New Wave.

Overall it was fun creating the compilations. To be honest I learned a lot more about the New Wave scene of my homeland this year.
This last installment contains partly new names partly names featured on earlier volumes.

03. Shift - Childlike Eyes (3:28)
04. Chambre Jaune - Parallel Lines (5:37)
05. Les Yeux Interdits - Schicksal (3:16)
06. Rotjoch - Another Lonely Night (3:55)
07. Das Ding - Kinheitsmuster (3:23)
08. Yoichi Hara - Vivian Is Happy (7:41)
09. Agents Of Decay - Apartment (3:29)
10. Toni Valen - Mystery 2 Me (3:44)
11. Flank - Untitled (3:35)
12. Planung - Hitze (3:01)
13. It Dockumer Lokaeltsje - The Girl Don't Mind (2:20)
14. Boyz In Parx - Close, Still So Far Away (4:45)
15. Garreth Jones & The Operators - Soleil Soleil (2:58)
16. Deluge - Such A Feeling (3:40)
17. Mistral - Jamie (3:50)

And for those wondering: Yes, i passed my exam.

I wish you all a good and safe changing of the year. That 2018 may become a good year for New Wave again. For me, well I am already looking forward to the W-Festival in August at Airport Amougies in Belgium. Especially the Synth stage will be very interested.

I really like the Shift track but I can't find anything more on them. Can you tell me more about them?

Hi maccafan076,

Shift released one album: https://www.discogs.com/Shift-Shift/release/1491717

Shift recorded this album at De Werf, the studio of the band Nits in Amsterdam, which was produced by former Nits bass player Alex Roelofs.

Henri Siebens was a member of the band who has his own bandcamp site: https://henrisiebens.bandcamp.com/

The track Childlike Eyes was recorded by the second line-up of the band but only released on the bandcamp site of Henri.

Thanks. I see a couple of songs from the album are on the Bandcamp site. Would you happen to have the whole album?
