Men Without Hats' "Ban The Game (Demo)" had circulated on bootlegs for a while before being released as "Ban The Game (Full Version)" on the 2010 reissue CD of the Rhythm of Youth album. It is very different from the short piano-and-vocal piece that opens the album. It is hardly a demo, more like a complete song, very energetic and danceable, and with a strong synthy New Wave vibe.

A few years ago, I really wanted to make a mix of New Wave tracks, and I thought it would be great to use this song. When trying to mix it with something else with a 4:4 beat, though, I found my sense of timing was always off. It turns out it's because the song is written in 6:8 time (or something). So I ended up directing all my energy toward re-editing the song so that it had a 4:4 intro and outro. My "remix" ended up being just these edits, some effects, and the addition of a short beat loop that fades in after a while. Nothing too fancy, but I really like how it turned out.

I think Soundcloud will allow 100 downloads. It is only up to 45 right now. If it stops working I'll post a Mega link.

I'm loving your shares. Have you do any mixes that you haven't posted here? Also you mention this was on MWH bootlegs. I've yet to see one. Do you know where I can find any?

I have several other edits I have not posted here, but they are not New Wave at all. They are mostly just things where I want to cut out an annoying part of a classic pop or rave track or combine my favorite parts of different remixes.

I found MWH bootlegs on RuTracker (BitTorrent) and Soulseek. These are all worth getting:
  • Rhythm of Youth demo tape / Folk of the '80s rehearsal tape [lossless CD rip]
  • Extended Hats [lossless CD rip]
  • Rhythm of Youth Live [128 kbps MP3s]
More info about the first two: https://www.discogs.com/artist/24170-Me ... Unofficial
