Req: Siouxsie & The Banshees Non-CD tracks

Postby Gaijin » Sat Nov 24, 2018 6:21 pm

Hi everyone, my first post, and the reason I joined this interesting forum:

I'm currently trying to track down lossless versions of a few Banshees tracks that didn't make the reissue program and am hopeful that this is the place to achieve such a thing.

Here's what I'm after:

Peek-a-boo (Two Faced Mix)
Peek-a-boo (Stockhausen & Waterphone Mix)
Head Cut (Live)
Running Town (Live) both from File 1
Fear Of The Unknown (various Junior Vasquez Remixes)

I have some other tracks that didn't make the reissues, and can post here if there is anyone interested, namely:

Dear Prudence (unedited from 12")
Cities In Dust (Bob Rock Remix)
Peek-a-boo (10 Minute 12'' Silver Dollar)
Overground (Live) from promo 4 Cuts ep
Shadowtime (Eclipse Mix)
Kiss Them For Me (Loveapella Mix)
Kiss Them For Me (Ambient)
Stargazer (Mambo Sun)
Stargazer (Planet Queen)
Stargazer (Original Single Version)
Dizzy (V1)

I'm also looking for some of The Creatures tracks, but will post separately for those.

Thanks, have a great day.

Does it need to be lossless? I have the Peek-a-boo and Fear versions in MP3.

I have all the above tracks as well as 2 megamixes ripped to WAV.

I can upload them but I don't think they're the greatest sounding rips.

I would appreciate if you'd upload these, as I'm curious to hear if they are better quality than what I have.

Dear Prudence (unedited from 12")
Cities In Dust (Bob Rock Remix)
Stargazer (Original Single Version)

Is the Original Single Version of Stargazer different from the CD single version? I never noticed if it is.

BTW, the 10 minute Silver Dollar mix of Peek-a-boo is on CD.

Dear Prudence (unedited from 12"), if this is the normal 12 inch, it is the same as the album version and has a 10 second longer intro than the single edit. As far as I am aware there is no official extended version.

I far as I know there is only one single version of Stargazer, which is the same as the album version.

I have the Bob Rock remix of Cities in Dust. I have not ripped it as I do not particulary like it. I much prefer the Eruption Mix.
It is on Youtube if you want to have a listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UhrKIaraPE

I think I read somewhere that the album version of Stargazer was replaced by the single version for all re-releases of the album. I should sit down and compare both versions to see if that's true.

@ bigarbel

Please do upload the tracks - wav is good.

The Stargazer issue is rather that the version on the 2004 'Best of' is not the same. Apologies. Though both are Mark Saunders mixes.
