And for my last trick... I'm going to stop Brexit, if only, you'll have to make do with a couple of deacon blue fm gigs.

I see they've started releasing their live archives - unfortunately so does my bank balance. Just listening to Barrowlands 1989, great stuff. Loved the tinseltown in the rain bit and a couple of Springsteen covers.

Where did you find them. Was at their official store, but couldn't find anything except the new album ‘Riding On The Tide Of Love’ out on 5th February 2021.

When you click read more then the 'cart' options appear. I loved the barrowlands gig but i was less keen on the murcia one. Going to try to listen to Newcastle tomorrow.

Are these soundboard or audience recordings also there is no mention mention of which format these are. If they are lossless i would be interested but i'm certainly not paying £10 for a bunch of mp3s.

I found out after buying and downloading the 1989 Barrowland gig. They don't mentioned it on the site. So it was quite a surprise to pay 10 Pound for 128Kbps files, while on Bandcamp you pay the same price for WAV or FLAC files and those are not only from unknown bands.

Finally able to give the Barrowlands 1989 gig a proper listen. What a great ambience, although I never was into the covers they played live. I really prefer their own material, which is superb on the first two albums.

Funny thing a month later I saw them live for the first time at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. I had the goose bumps over my body for nearly the whole concert. The vocal mix of Ricky and Lorraine is so special, and probably I was very emotional that evening because two days later I went into hospital for a knee operation, which kept me home for the next six months.

It took me nine years to see them live again, on the motto if they don't come to you, I go to them. So I visit the concert in Cambridge with my friends from Grimsby. The ambience was different that time, not because of the band or the setlist, but the fact that I was sitting on the balcony and could not be part of the enthusiastic crowd in the front.

Hopefully this year, when we are vaccinated against Covid-19 I can see them at Tivoli-Vredenburg.
