The B-side is the same as the other twelve inch I had.

Ok, yes, there are differences in the 2nd verse.

Here is the alternate mix, cleaned up:

Thank you for the link. So is this the mix they used for Top Of The Pops?

Its basically the Radio Edit.

Canada got it on their 7 inch, and it appeared on a UK 7 inch promo.

It also appeared on several UK acetates.

It looks like the Album version was put on all the compilations, and almost every 12 inch,
and 7 inch version internationally.

For some reason, this edit was not used.

Also, somebody on Discogs, said their version was completely instrumental, but no one else
has it.

Yeah I was confused because the discogs entry states
It is not an edit of another mix and is not the same as the radio edit with the same duration that appears on some 7" promos.

It seems there is a lot of misinformation on ABC like the person who claims there are 2 7” instrumentals of how to be a millionaire. Or the supposed censored versions of a-z.

I think that instrumental of night is the bonus beats version. His copy might be a mispress

He is me. I think it is the same as the bonus beats...and I appear to have a mispress.

More interestingly, I have a rip from a video version that is very different at the end. I can't seem to find the video anymore on youtube, but it was aired on MTV or somesuch.

Was it the music video or a different video clip?

The female vocals are sung differently on KWAC 7". To my knowledge it has never appeared on any ABC compilation (always the album version).

But it’s on the CD single?

It seems I have 2 edits on TNYML:

One with a duration of 04:10, the other 04:19.

The 04:19 one has a final "love to love you" from the female backing vocalist before the final "close your eyes and say part", around 2:54. The final note is also around 5 seconds longer.

I don't know whether the 04:10 is an "edit of the edit" or what release each one comes from as they were mp3s given to be by a friend.

If anyone wants to listen to them both to examine the differences let me know

please send me a link to TNYML edits

Here’s an official list in my opinion:

1. The Night You Murdered Love (LP Mix)
2. The Night You Murdered Love (7” Edit)
3. The Night You Murdered Love (The Reply)
4. The Night You Murdered Love (Bonus Beats AKA Inst.)
5. The Night You Murdered Love (Sheer Chic Mix)
6. The Night You Murdered Love (The Whole Story)

I think the 4:19 edit was not an official version. It was created specially for the Now... compilations.
