Hello all,

Hope everyone is doing well! Sorry for delay! As promised, here is Volume 7! The last track, "Black Man Ray" by China Crisis is another one of my Edits I had done many years ago for Dave as there was never an Extended Version and he loved the track. Go easy on me! I will leave the link up for one week while I work on Volume 8! Please note, I have done my best to remaster all the tracks including those from cds that needed a bit of tweaking. All files are in WAV format so download may take a little longer.

D.I.A. Passion Play has been one of my guilty pleasures for years.....if I may say so......

Actually, if I take into account the multitude of German synthpop bands / projects from the mid-80s who came and went totally unnoticed - and many of them deservingly so..... , releasing only a 12" or two......this is really way above average when it comes to only that category of releases......

Looking at their complete discography, I am actually surprised that this has not been featured on any of the 80s compilations during all these years, cause its really a straightforward hit song, so its really nice to finally have it properly resurrected in the finest possible quality......

Interesting point Xymox970! I’ve always enjoyed this track as well! I should have mentioned that the Maxi Version they released always sounded like more of an Extended Instrumental and is the exact reason I attempted to do my own Edit years ago which was on Digital 80’s Vol.31 using the original 7” and Maxi Version. For those who missed it, here is the Gazebo Edit of D.I.A. Passion Play”!!! I’ve also included a link to their only video! Lastly, not sure if you knew this but D.I.A.’s version is actually a cover version! The original version was by Still Life in 1983! I will include this down the road! Enjoy!
