Hello all,

Hope everyone is doing well! As promised, here is Volume 9! As I near the end of this series, It is great to see new members introducing new diverse compilations to this group! Although we may have only scratched the surface given the amount of rare 80s gems out there, I think the combined efforts here have certainly put a dent in the search! Great work to all!

One last note and in response to a message I received, none of the tracks used in this and the Digital 80s series have been duplicated but rather different versions of a particular song have been used. A tricky task on its own given almost 1000 tracks were used between the two series. Also, if I have used tracks that have appeared on others previous compilations, I apologize as this was not intentional! I had worked on these tracks quite some time ago and simply wanted to share them in lossless WAV format with the best sound possible.

I will leave the link up for one week while I work on Volume 10! Please note, I have done my best to remaster all the tracks including those from cds that needed a bit of tweaking. All files are in WAV format so downloads may take a little longer.

I hope you enjoy!

Paul (Gazebo Music)

Ps: Feedback always welcome!

PSS: Please, this in NO way is intended to take away sales from any of the artists included here but rather a way to discover or rediscover these timeless masterpieces as many of them have never officially appeared on CD or are long "Out Of Print". Please support these bands if they should have material available! They deserve all the credit!

Thanks for this. great set. I will forever regret that I had a chance to get a load of unreleased tracks by Academy and missed it. I had gotten in touch with the guitarist off a comment he left on a Youtube video (now lost, it was a promo video for Stand Up! on a German programme), and he told me he had a lot of unreleased material. In fact I still remember track names, Asian Gold and Burning Bush. He was going to digitize them but I didn't follow up and subsequently lost the email account. Sadly, they will probably never see the light of day, which is a shame because I think the band is really good. Stranded is a personal favourite.

Thanks guys! Glad you’re enjoying the series! LaidInRuins, that’s a shame Re: Academy lost tracks! Would have loved to hear them! Agree, “Stranded” is also a great 12” and I included it on Volume 1! Cheers!
