the whole world is anxious waiting for the results of the American presidential election. Now that there are still no results, I thought, let's kill time with a compilation full of songs about America.

A total of 5 CD's with more than 100 songs about America, mainly from 1980s artists, although some tracks from the 1990s and even the zeros are added as well.
Artists like Claudia Brücken, Colin Hay and Cy Cunnin are featured with solo outbring from later than the eighties, and the closing track of Neil Diamond is just because I am a fan, made by my uncles, since the late seventies.

Some are well known tracks, some were featured earlier on my compilation series 'The Unknown Beauty Of The 80's' and 'An Introduction To Dutch New Wave', but most were never featured before on any of my compilations. The musical spectrum is wide from Punk to Folk Rock and Soundtrack stuff. And to be precise all tracks are from my own (digital) collection.

It seems to me a very special compilation, if either of the two candidates for the presidency finds out that you have done it for them, they appoint you minister of culture. Thank you very much for the effort in compiling all these songs, the challenge is not easy at all, it is actually very new.
