Does anyone know if the same remix was used for both the 7”/12” ?

Another question, one promo version of the single has a mono and stereo mixes. Anyone knows, for what purpose the mono version could be used? Short wave Radio?

There were lots of promo singles issued in stereo/mono versions in the late 70's and early 80's for exactly as you've guessed - the mono radio stations in the US. I have more or less all the Police ones. I might have a couple of Blondie ones as well. I think they sort of died out by 1985. The Police ones are generic blank covers where their European promos came with often different covers to the actual release that followed. I'll see if I can find a few mono promos and photo them.
