Nero's Rome was a popular band in Portland, Oregon in the late 80's.
Labor was a self-released cassette in 1989.
Nero's Rome was very popular in the Northwest and had major label interest.
Early on they had a New Wave Dance Rock style in the vain of Simple Minds, INXS, Hipsway, with a Billy Idol growl.
Portland Oregon in the 70's, 80's was always living in the shadow of Seattle.
Until the 90's they only had Quarterflash and Nu Shooz,
In the 90's with Grunge explosion in Seattle,
everything in Portland went Grunge and Indie Rock, even Nero's Rome.
