SHARE: The unknown Beauty Of The 80's Volume 262

Another new volume with some own rips and a nice connection story.

In the past months I became interested again in Martin Ansell, who to my humble opinion released with "An Englishmen Abroad" one of the best eighties albums.
I have always been a hugh fan of the album and have several versions in my collection. When ordering te Quarks cd album recently I was able to ask him some questions as well.

Martin Ansell started his career in the band The Quarks, later renamed to President President. The next band was 3•P• Swæt, featured as the opening track of this volume.
Before finally going solo, he was in the band Bleeding Hearts with Kevin Weatherill. Martin helped Kevin demoing a lot of his first material and brought him in contact with manager Andrew Miller, who liked his songs and helped him get a deal with A and M records. Kevin then changed the name to Immaculate Fools and the rest is history so to say. The only recording which featured Martin Ansell on guitar is All Fall Down, released as a b-side in 1987, which is featured here as well.

More of Martin Ansell on the scheduled Volume 275, which I present later this year. This promise to become at least a triple cd volume centered around a theme again.
When you are interested in Martin Ansell, please pay him a visit at : https://martinansell.bandcamp.com/. Over the years he has released, besides the Quarks and The Englishmen Abroad, some albums with 80's demos which sound quit nice. His latest release Talking Truth (ep) contains two Quarks tracks.

01. 3•P• Swæt - Too Close To The Moon (3:28)*
