The Last Unknown Beauty Of The 80’s volumes are a bit differtent.

Volume 330 is a thematic Volume.

The last three volumes are dedicated to the music that inspired me in the eighties, that moved me, that marked my path in the styles and genres I loved and became familiar with in my life.

John Miles sung “Music is my first love, and it will be my last” well this statement applies to me.

When I am in the mood I think in song titles, and I really like to create compilations for someone special.
So for these last Volumes I went back to the eighties and searched for the songs that gave me direction, those that appealed to me, touched me and certainly made me cry. These songs stick out to me, are special and even after four decades I love them and listen to them. They still can give me the goose bumps or a tear when moved by them.

I have separated them in three volumes. One with Dutch bands, the second with international New Wave, Synthpop, Pop songs and the third with Progressive Rock, the music that, besides New Wave and Synthpop, musically shaped me. To be honest “Unknown” won’t fit to these volumes since most of the songs are well known, but I wanted to give this series a personal twisting end.

To be perfectly honest......at the rate this was going during the last few days of 2023,
